In accordance with recommendations from the CDC and WHO, we would like to update you in regards to our protocol related to the Novel COVID-19 (Coronavirus). As always, the safety of our patients and team members is our highest priority. As such, we ask that you please call our office prior to your appointment if you have a fever or flu-like symptoms. In addition, we ask that you call our office prior to your appointment if you have traveled on a cruise or to China, Italy, Japan, Iran, or South Korea in the past 30 days, have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, or have been asked to self-quarantine in the last 14 days. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
As we always have, our office will continue to follow strict sterilization techniques and infection control measures as set out by the CDC and ADA to help prevent the spread of infection. This means that all surfaces including the dental chair, dental light, countertops, and drawers have been cleaned and disinfected with a high-level disinfectant between patients. It also means all the instruments are sterilized after each use using a pressurized steam autoclave. Gloves and masks are all considered single-use and are disposed of after each patient. In addition, we are increasing the frequency of our cleaning of public areas and surfaces such as door handles, bathrooms, countertops, signature pads, etc. Finally, we will be screening all patients when scheduling, confirming appointments, and at check-in. Patients with COVID-19 risk factors will be rescheduled.
Your health and safety are important to the entire team at Parkview Dental. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call our office at (320) 587-2726.
Thank you for your attention to this important issue.
